STUDY HALL
Study Hall is our orientation!
All new members are required to come to Study Hall in order to have access to the machines and the space (get your HALL PASS!).
Existing members may attend Study Hall as well if they want a refresh!!
Communal learning is at the core of our studio philosophy and weekly Study Halls are a great time for members to ask questions and grow better together.

WHO IS GATHER FOR?
We welcome makers of all bodies, identities, and abilities. We honor diverse traditions and lived experiences that inform how and why people make, and we commit to ongoing learning so this studio remains a place of belonging, creativity, and respect.
IF MY HOME LOCATION IS GATHER, CAN I STILL GO TO MAEK FRIENDS CERAMIC STUDIOS?
Your membership gives you access to all Maek studios! Whatever studio you are closest to / spend the majority of your time in will be your home studio but you can allocate your 24 hours of membership to any of our three studios! more info on our Membership page.
DO YOU OFFER GUEST OR SINGLE DAY PASSES?
We do not offer guest or single day passes. If you are interested in trying out the studio we recommend that you book a spot in one of our Sew Curious classes!
CAN I BRING MY KIDS OR PETS TO THE STUDIO?
GATHER IS A 18+ STUDIO. IN AN EFFORT TO BE INCLUSIVE, WE ASK THAT YOU LEAVE YOUR FUR BABIES AT HOME.
CAN I SNACK IN THE STUDIO?
Snacks and drinks are welcome in the lounge, but are restricted at all work stations (sewing stations, cutting tables, etc.). Water vessels with secure lids are OK throughout the studio.

We do not offer guest or single day passes. If you are interested in trying out the studio we recommend that you book a spot in one of our monthly Sew Curious classes!

Gather is a 18+ studio. In an effort to be inclusive, we ask that you leave your fur babies at home.

WHAT IF I GO OVER MY ALLOTTED 24 HOURS IN A MONTH
If you go over the allotted 24 hours (which you're welcome to!), your account will be charged at a rate of $10 per hour
CAN I STORE MY MACHINE OR PROJECTS?
We do not offer locked storage for personal machines or works in progress. You are welcome to bring in your own tools and materials as long as you take them with you at the end of your session (anything left in the studio will be available for use by all members).
WHAT'S THE PARKING SITUATION?
There is metered parking on W Washington Street in front of our building that is free after 8pm. You can also park in the library's parking lot whenever the library is open (we validate). Library Hours are:
+ Monday: Closed
+ Tuesday: 11:30am-8pm
+ Wednesday: 9:30am-6pm
+ Thursday: 9:30am-6pm
+ Friday: 9:30am-6pm
+ Saturday: 9:30am-6pm
+ Sunday: Closed

CAN I BRING MY OWN FABRIC?
Yes, we encourage it!
WHERE CAN I BUY ADDITIONAL FABRIC AND THREAD?
While fabric can come from anywhere, Gather will be offering a selection of fun fabric for purchase in our small in-house store! all maek members get a discount!
